GILMER � Services for Waymon Ellison, 86, of Ore City, will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014, at 2 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Pastor Greg Dean Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Coffeeville Cemetery. Born on October 30, 1928, to Andrew Jackson Ellison and Myrtle Ellison, he passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Tyler, Texas after a brief illness. Waymon retired from A&P after twenty plus years of employment and opened his own store with his wife, Bobbie, which they operated for many years. He loved dealing with people. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church for fifty years. Waymon loved working outdoors and was especially proud of his garden that produced an abundance of vegetables every year that he shared with friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters, and his wife of sixty-five years, Bobbie. Waymon is survived by his son, Michael Ellison and wife, Brenda of Tyler; grandson, Craig Ellison of Tyler; great-granddaughter, Chay Ellison of Greenville, South Carolina; brother, Doyle Ellison of Ore City; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Friday at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Online condolences can be left at www.grubbsloydfhgilmer.com
