Thomas Franklin Mobbs

December 15, 1939 — November 13, 2022

Thomas Franklin Mobbs of Longview, TX passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Thomas was born to Gilbert and Florene Mobbs in Nashville, Arkansas on December 15, 1939. He graduated from Longview High School and attended Kilgore College. After high school he soon went to work for LeTourneau and his proud accomplishment was working there.

After 50 years, he retired on the same day he started 50 years to the day. He loved to pull a good joke or a prank on folks, loved Christmas and giving gifts. He had many different names that he answered to Paw, Pops, Pawpaw, Tom, Uncle Yogi, Daddy Thomas depending on who he was with at the time.

He was married to Dee Mobbs, who preceded him in death in 1990 along with his parents and infant brother.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Janis and Tony LaFleur, his son and daughter-in-law Randy and Tracie Mobbs. Grandsons Chase and wife Grace Mobbs and Caleb Mobbs. Bonus granddaughter Dawn LaFleur Hammers, bonus great grandchildren Nathan and Remley White, Lyla Hammers and great great granddaughter Haven White. He also leaves behind two brothers and their wives, Eddie and Timmie Mobbs and Johnny and Pat Campbell along with many more family and friends.

We would also like to thank the nurses and Highland Pines for the love and care as they took care of our Daddy and the wonderful caring people of Prime Care Hospice.
