Reba Hicks

Graveside services for Reba Hicks, 61, of Gilmer, will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Concord Cemetery, with Reverend Scott Darby officiating. Mrs. Hicks passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019.
Reba was born June 23, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, TX, to Joe Alton and Barbara Jean Emery Irby. She worked for many years at Truman W. Smith Children’s Care Center as a nurse. She loved working with the children and spending time with her family on motorcycle rides. She married Jesse Hicks on October 2, 1992, in Hallsville.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse hicks; mother, Barbara Holcomb; children and spouses, Jessie Hicks and wife, Lisa, Jody Carmichael and wife, Michelle, Kelly Carmichael and wife, Tina; Lisa Elrod and husband, Ryan, Donna Carmichael; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A visitation for friends and family will be held 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
