Muriel Ruth Hall

Muriel Ruth Ashley Hall was born February 27, 1929. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on September 28, 2017. Her lengthy, struggle with Alzheimer’s has finally ended. Mrs. Hall was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Harlon Leon Hall and son that died after birth, Joel Lee Hall. Her parents were Omar and Beulah Ashley.
Mrs. Hall is survived by six daughters; Lynn Jett of Austin, June Nyvall of Kilgore, Claire Samples of Gilmer, Nan Tomboni of Longview, Kim Prine of Gilmer, and Kay Wheeler of Austin. She has 24 Grandchildren, 20 Great grandchildren, and one Great-great grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers; John and Jerry Ashley; and one sister, Nancy Nuner.
Funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gilmer, Texas on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with Bishop Tim Miller conducting and interment at Kelsey Cemetery, Upshur County, Texas immediately following under the direction of Grubbs Loyd in Gilmer, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2017 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Grubbs Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas.
