Isabella Grace Smith

November 3, 2008 — February 26, 2018

“This world is not my home, I’m just a passin’ through…” Isabella “Bella” Grace Smith joined the Daniel and Deanna Smith family of Diana on November 3, 2008 blessing her large extended family with over 9 years of smiles, cartwheels, cheers, and fun. She suddenly and tragically left this world on Monday, February 26, 2018.
Celebration of life services for Isabella Grace Smith, 9, of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday March 3, 2018 at the Norton Lovell Auditorium at the New Diana High School. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Lloyd Funeral Home in Diana. Services will be officiated by Brother Guy McGraw and Brother Mark Oliver. Family and friends will give special remarks and music.
From the start, Bella was a little firecracker. She loved new discoveries and becoming her own person while following her 3 older brothers around and establishing her place in a houseful of boys. Being the only girl cousin for a few years, she was the family’s royal princess. She grudgingly welcomed the four little girl cousins as each one joined the family, and then the Little Mother gene kicked in and she began to think her cousins and baby sister were hers to teach. Bella quickly fell in love with cheering, twirling, and gymnastics and “Watch this” became her catch phrase as she tumbled, cheered, and jumped for everyone to see.
From an early age, she had a love for cats, dogs, goats, horses, and other animals. Having several birthday parties at farm venues. She loved helping her aunts, uncles, and grandparents with jobs around the house even though she hated cleaning her room. She could be bossy and loving all at the same time but as her childhood friend, Tucker, said, “that’s just Bella being Bella”.
Bella was in 3rd grade at Robert F. Hunt Elementary in Diana. Bella liked school and loved her teachers. She got along with everyone and had several close friends from each segment of her life. She played softball, was a youth cheerleader, took dance, twirling, and cheer lessons. She was also a part of the GA program at Walnut Creek Baptist Church.
Bella is survived by her parents Deanna and Daniel Smith, brothers: Brennan Smith of Diana, Danny and AJ Smith of Kilgore, sister: Lorelai Smith of Diana, grandparents: Kenneth and Barbara Winn of Diana and Linda Smith of Longview, uncles and aunts: Wesley (Uncle Pooh) and Amy Winn of Diana, Misty and Romeo (Uncle Ronio) of Kilgore, Lester and Mindy Smith of Canton, Arthur and Kayla Smith of Missouri. Cousins Gavin and Bryndle Winn of Diana, Kenzie Thompson of Henderson, and Antonio and Austyn Amaya of Kilgore. She is also survived by a large extended family of Smiths, Winns, Costons, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Arthur Smith, and most recently, her maternal great-grandmother, Wanda Rodgers Coston.
Pall bearers will be brothers and cousins Danny Smith, AJ Smith, Brennan Smith, Gavin Winn, Antonio Amaya, and Cameron Taylor.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 2, 2018, 6-8 P.M. at Grubbs-Lloyd Funeral Home in Diana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the RA/GA program at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, 1969 N. Sego Lilly Rd., Diana, TX 75640 or J-S.T.A.R. Ministries, 803 Gilmer Rd., Longview, TX 75640.
