Funeral services for Steven Hicks, 38, of Gilmer will be 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Tommy Brasher officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Hicks passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Hicks was born on June 22, 1978, in Longview. He was employed with Longview Power Wash, a lifetime resident of East Texas, and a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his parents, Donnie and Julie Hicks; son, Zachary; daughter, Alexis; brother, Chris; and sister, Melinda; nephews, Keelon, Colby, and Colton; nieces, Makenzie, Reanna, Destineigh and Olivia. Pallbearers will be Coby, Colton, Braden, Tommy, Jessie and Jamie. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
