Robert Lively DIANA �Memorial services for Robert Lively, 73, of Avinger will be at 11:00 A.M., January 10, 2015 at Lake O� The Pines Baptist Church, with Brother Shawn Thrapp officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. He passed away December 28, 2014 at his residence. Robert Lively was born December 2, 1941 to Claude and Elsie Lively in Modesto, California. He served in the U.S. Army and later was a conductor of the Union Pacific Railroad where he retired after 32 years of service. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Elsie Lively, brother Donald Lively, and brothers-in-law, Bill Phillips and Jim Lewis. He is survived by his wife Carol Lively, daughters Teresa Lively, Linda (Stephen) Rogers, Kim (Bob) Goodsell, six grandchildren, sisters Geri Phillips and Eloice Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob excelled in many sports including water-skiing, dirt bike riding, four wheeling and he loved fishing. He was proud of the three boats he made in high school wood shop. Bob had a contagious smile and he never turned his back on anyone in need. He loved his Heavenly Father and his son Jesus. He will be missed by the many that loved him.
