Paul Wayne Hamilton DIANA �Services for Paul Wayne Hamilton, 66, of Ore City, will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana, with Brother Jamie Eitson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Ore City Cemetery. He passed away August 3, 2015 at his home. Paul was born December 2, 1948 in Jefferson, Texas to Verner Paul and Billie Wayne Hamilton. Paul served his country while in the U.S. Army. He retired after working as a welder for many years. Paul was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He served as Commander of the Lone Star Confederate Color Guard, was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and member of Upshur County Patriots Camp # 2109. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing his guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents. Paul is survived by his wife: Lottie Hamilton, children: Scot Hamilton and wife Misty of LA, Angela Thomas and husband Braxton of Ore City, Christina Weinzettle and husband Danny of Ore City, and Kimberly Ramthun and husband Rick of Ore City, grandchildren: Brittney Hamilton, Jaiden Hamilton, Ashton Hamilton, Ashley Pyatt, Trenton Pyatt, Madison Montgomery, Hallie Reed, Mason Reed, Jessica Weinzettle, Brinsley Weinzettle, Matt Weinzettle, Jade Ramthun and Gavin Winn, brother Dennis J. Hamilton and sister Alicia Fallis. Pallbearers will be Rick Ramthun, Danny Weinzettle, Cash Hamilton, Jake Hamilton, Mark Hass and Sam Mercer. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis J. Hamilton, Ben Hay, Charles Bolding, John Smith, Phil Davis, Eddy Pricer, John Ash and George Linton. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, 6 to 8 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
