Linda Sue Palmer

Graveside services for Linda Sue Palmer, 78, of Gilmer will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Enoch Cemetery, with Pastor Danny Trimble officiating. Mrs. Palmer passed away on Monday, January 21, in Gilmer.
Linda was born on December 12, 1940, in Iraan, Texas, to Jacob Joel and Naomi Phillips. She grew up in Crane, Texas, where she met and married Wilburn Palmer. They had three children, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She worked as a nurse for many years before retirement, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a kind and generous person who loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 44 years, Wiburn Palmer; two sons, Jimmy and David Wayne Palmer; and a sister, Betty Long.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and James Kunkel; six grandchildren, Cindy Grant Williams, Amanda Palmer Kirkman, Julia McLoughlin, Joseph Palmer, Sima Fazlollahi, Daniel Palmer; six great grandchildren, Miriam Grant and Mason Peterson, of Gilmer, Athena, Vance and Kaedence Palmer of Shreveport, and Micah Palmer of Gilmer.
