Leonard George Mix

DIANA �Services for Leonard George Mix, 73, of Avinger will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 11, 2013 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel, in Diana, with Brother Otis Thrash and Brother Dennis Whatley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Mims Chapel Cemetery. He passed away January 7, 2013 in Jefferson. Leonard was born August 31, 1939 in Linden, Texas to Leonard and Lenadale Mix. He was a carpenter by trade and served in the U.S. Army. Leonard is survived by his wife of 52 years: Shirley Mix, son: Scott Mix, siblings: Austin Mix, Jean Huggins, Jesse Mix, Howard Mix, & Sharon Stacey and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Babby Mix. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 10, 2013, 6 to 8 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
