Funeral Services for Judy Anne DeBarge Meuir, age 68, of Longview, will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018; the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home of Diana, with a graveside service beginning at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at White Cemetery, 313 E Brentwood St, Longview, TX 75604.
Judy was born on January 18, 1950 in Hammond, Indiana to the late John and Opal Ward DeBarge. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Diana. Judy’s caring and compassionate nature, lead her to a career as an LVN, working for Christus-Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. When she wasn’t caring for patients, she enjoyed caring and maintaining her fresh water aquarium. She loved plants and flowers, watching the hummingbirds feed on the back porch, shopping with her daughters, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her partner in life, Mr. Bob Saunders of Longview; two daughters, Rachel Best and husband Michael of Diana; Amanda St. Clair of Diana; two sisters, Nancy DeBarge of Gary, IN., Cheryl Sahm and husband Bill of Gary, IN.; eight grandchildren, Dana Davis, Kristopher Best, Destiny Belt, Coltin Best, Megan St. Clair, Erin St. Clair, Katelyn St. Clair, Chanel St. Clair; and six great-grandchildren, Tinley, Kytalin, Daxden, Locklyn, Haevyn and Penelope.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald Wood; two infant boys; and a sister, Margaret DeBarge.
