Joe Wayne Strong DIANA �Services for Joe Wayne Strong, 78, of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, in Diana, with Brother Marvin Dennison and Brother Roger Tarver officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Ashland Cemetery. He passed away May 22, 2013 at his home. Joe was born September 1, 1934 in James, Texas to Joe C. & Evie Lee Strong. Joe served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a fireman with the Kilgore Fire Department before his retirement and of the Baptist faith. Joe is survived by his wife, Betty Strong; son, Daryl Strong of Teneha; daughters, Pam Porter of Diana, Beverly Chisnall of Kilgore, and Linda Strong Hightower of Tenaha; brothers, Johnny Strong and Jerry Camp; sisters, Betty Thamm and Janell Camp; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bobby Lee Strong; siblings, Durane, Richard and Leo Strong and Dorothy Newman. The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 24, 2013, 6 to 8 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
