James Winn Loyd, Sr.

GILMER � Services for James Winn Loyd, Sr., 77, of Gilmer will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Gilmer with Reverend Teddy Ott and Larry W. Osborne officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Loyd passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Loyd was born December 30, 1935 at his home in the Sand Hill Community of Upshur County to Oscar and Pauline Gunter Loyd. He attended East Mountain School, was owner of Loyd Grave Service, a lifetime resident of Upshur County and was a member of the Baptist faith. He also married the love of his life Annette Johnson Loyd on July 23, 1976. Mr. Loyd is survived by wife, Annette Loyd of Sand Hill; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Miranda Loyd, Jr. of Sand Hill, Jerry and Samantha Davis of Sand Hill and J. Rodney and Staci Davis of Sand Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Hagler of Sand Hill; brother, Melvin Loyd of Gilmer; sister, Ouida Loyd Davis of East Mountain; grandchildren, Zaydi Jaymes Loyd, Jessica Anne Hagler, Jerilyn Elizabeth Davis, Katie Leigh Davis, Brooke Lauren Davis, Andrew Cameron Conway, Aiden James Davis and Avery Jackson Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Russ Carter, Scott Davis, Zeke Davis, Ken Loyd, Don Loyd and Jerry Putnam. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Sand Hill Cemetery Association, Jerry Putnam 1279 Gardenia Road, Gilmer, Texas 75645.
