Obituary for James Carl "J. C." Knabenshue

James Carl "J. C." Knabenshue, 74, of Ore City, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 24, 2022, in Ore City, Texas.

James Carl Knabenshue was born December 30, 1947, in Seuberville, Ohio, to James C. and Wanetta Dolores Sloan Knabenshue. He served his country proudly in the Navy during the Vietnam War, receiving many medals. James was a truck driver for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting. He had a wonderful family that loved him, and many friends that were important to him.

James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverley Henigan.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Knabenshue; sons, Kenneth Stanford and wife, Patti, Chris Stanford and wife, Melinda; daughter, Clarissa Cantrell and husband, Scott; step-mother, Margaret Knabenshue; brothers, James "Jimmy" Knabenshue and wife, Willie, Kenneth Knabenshue and wife, Celeste, Ricky Knabenshue and wife, Dawn, Robert Knabenshue and wife, Sherry; sisters, Julie Wilson and husband, William, Vicky Sparks; grandchildren, Amelia and Levi Cantrell and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2022, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
