Memorial services for Houston Chapman, 84, of Ore City, will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Cedar Springs Baptist Church in Ore City with Kenneth Bowden officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. He died Tuesday, November 9, 2010, in Longview. Mr. Chapman was born August 20, 1926, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Navy, later as a police officer and was a member of the Lion's Club, VFW, a Mason and Eastern Star. Survivors include his wife, Mabel Chapman; son, David W. Chapman Burns; and daughter, Daryal L. Reed.
