DIANA: Graveside services for Geneva M. Havens, 85, of Ore City will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Ore City Cemetery, with Johnny Coleman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. She passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Gilmer.
Geneva was born April 30, 1932 to Roy and Mary Groves in Vinita, OK. She was a secretary at Pasadena ISD for many years and member of Ore City Church of Christ. On December 27, 1950, she married Charlie Havens in Alamo, Texas.
Geneva is survived by her husband of almost 67 years, Charlie Havens, son: Michael Havens of Houston, brothers and sisters-in-law: Don and Alleen Groves of Austin and Alvin and Janie Groves of San Antonio, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Larry Havens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in honor of Geneva to Heritage Hospice, 1100 Stone Rd., Kilgore, TX. 75662.
