Services for Faye Campbell, 104, of Ore City will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 29, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Ore City, with Reverend Robbie Caldwell, Reverend Ken Mills and Reverend James Gray officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Ore City Cemetery. She passed away February 25, 2016 in Alabama. Faye was born February 25, 1912 in Altoona, Alabama to Charles and Ola Mae Collier. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Ore City for many years. Faye Campbell was the �flower lady� in Ore City. For over fifty years she placed flowers from her garden in her church and shared them with the sick and those in nursing homes. She was loved by everyone because she showed Christ�s love by her actions. Her famous fried chicken will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband D.S �Hoss� Campbell in 1973, daughter Betty Joyce Pomeroy, grandchildren Mike and Susie Pomeroy, step-daughter Betty Ramey and son-in-law Colonel F.M. Cook. Faye is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Virginia Cook, Janice and Robbie Caldwell and Nancy and David Godsey, step-daughter: Joyce Hooten, grandchildren: Randy and Wayne Cook, Jason and April Caldwell, Laine Godsey, Gail Hooten, Cindy Ramey Martindale, Jackie Ramey Davis and Mike and Beth Ramey, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and friends. The family will receive visitors on Monday, February 29, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church in Ore City. In lieu of flowers and in her memory, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Ore City, P.O. Box 216, Ore City, Texas 75683.
