Elizabeth Neil Johnston

Services for Elizabeth Hortman Johnston, 89, of Alba, formerly of Marshall, will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana, with Reverend Earl Taylor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview. She passed away March 14, 2011 in Longview. Elizabeth was born June 20, 1921 in Marshall, Texas to John Elbert and Mattie Hortman. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, Clinton Luther Johnston and granddaughter, Elizabeth Cheryl Smith. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws: Eugene & Caroline Johnston, Freddy & Norma Johnston, Carrol Johnston, Glen & Glenda Johnston, daughters & sons-in-law: Joann Reddick, Judy & Keith Jones, Linda & Karl Garner, brother: Ervin Hortman, sister: Dollie Scott, 14 Grandchildren, 29 Great-grandchildren and 7 Great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Highland Pines Nursing Home and the staff for their care of Mrs. Johnston. Visitation will be held Friday, March 18, 2011, 7-9 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana
