Eddie Duke

DIANA: Services for Eddie Duke, 63, of Harleton will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 2, 2018 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel, with Steve Bartlett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery. He passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at his residence from complications of Alzheimer’s.

Eddie was born April 1, 1954 in Douglassville, Texas to Vernice and Ann Duke. He retired from L.S.S. /U.S. Steel after 40 years and was of the Baptist faith.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 40 years: Paula Duke, mother: Ann Duke of Lone Star, son and daughter-in-law: Brent and Rachel Duke, daughter: Emily Duke, two grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law: Jimmy and Charlotte Duke and Steven and Charlene Duke and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernice Duke.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 1, 2018, 5-7 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
