Services for Dee Bailey, 69, of Gilmer, will be held at 2PM Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gilmer on the west end of Pine Street. Bishop Jimmy Coulter will conduct services and interment will follow at Enoch Cemetery in the Enoch Community. Mr. Bailey passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his residence. Dee was born August 12, 1944, in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, to Hubert E. and Edna J. Bailey. He served in the Army in Vietnam, and was baptized on March 6, 1967 in Vietnam in the Sangba River. Mr. Bailey married Gaye Friske Bailey on April 10, 1969 in Alberta, Canada. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and worked as an attorney with his own practice. Survivors include his wife: Gaye Bailey; Children and spouses: Seth and Amy Bailey, Stacy and Paul Steffensen, Jon and Luanne Bailey, Ghent and Ashley Bailey, Nathan Bailey, Anna Bailey, Katherine and Michael Clark, Josie Bailey; brothers and spouses: Joe Ben and Jeanette Bailey, Dillard Lindel and Karen Bailey; and 21 wonderful grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013, from 6PM to 8PM at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
