DIANA: Memorial services for Charles Ray Freeman, 69, of Ore City will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana, with Ronnie Werts officiating. He passed away on December 14, 2016 at his residence.

Charles was born February 24, 1947 in Natchitoches, LA to James Wesley Freeman, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Freeman. He served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a welder-fitter for East Texas Machine in Longview. Charles had a big heart and was always willing to help others. He was greatly loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years; Patsy Freeman, son: Kenneth D. Freeman, daughter and son-in-law: Emily and Chad Elwell, brothers: James Freeman, Jr. and Billy Sandifer, sister: Charlotte Veuleman, 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
