Charles Edward Muckleroy

Services for Charles Edward Muckleroy, 81, of Diana, will be held 10 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gilmer, with Bishop Jimmy Coulter conducting. Interment will follow at Kelsey Cemetery in the Kelsey Community, Upshur County, Texas. Charles was born April 10, 1935, in Upshur County, to Claude and Sarah Lucile Shaw Muckleroy. He was a retired machinist from A&E Machine Shop in Lone Star. Charles loved fishing, was a former Scout Master, Sunday School Teacher, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary, in 2015; a son, Gary Muckleroy; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Survivors include five sons: Allen Muckleroy, Stephen Muckleroy, Robert Muckleroy, Russell Muckleroy, Kevin Muckleroy; three daughters: Esther Ramos, Dorothy Badger, Christina Wilhelm; three sisters: Claudean Smith, Glenda Cox, Deloris Justice; 19 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 Pm, Friday, August 19, 2016 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
