Calvin H. Tincher

Graveside service for Mr. Calvin H. Tincher, 92, of Tyler, TX, will be held 10:00 am, Monday, September 3, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, TX with Bro. Charles Yochum officiating. Calvin passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Tyler.

Calvin was born in Glenwood, TX on July 31, 1926 to Huey and Annie (Fleet) Tincher and was a lifetime resident of Upshur County. He married Jean Tincher on January 28, 1946 in Kansas and worked TX Dot for more than 30 years until his retirement. Mr. Tincher was a proud veteran in the United States Army and a member of the Bethesda Masonic Lodge #142 A.F. & A.M. He was also a faithful member of the Gilmer First Assembly of God.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Wilma Jean Tincher of Tyler; sons, Jerry Tincher and wife, Debbie of White Oak, Joe Tincher and wife, Bonnie of Whitehouse; daughter, Donna Metcalf and husband, Bob of Hideaway Lake; grandchildren, Deborah Chadsey, Michael Metcalf, Steven, Mark, and Travis Tincher; eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and one brother.
