Billy �Bill� Patterson DIANA �Services for Billy �Bill� Patterson, 87, of Diana will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Ore City Church of Christ, with Johnny Coleman and Tracy Harris officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Mattox Cemetery in Diana. He passed away January 13, 2015 in Longview, Texas. Bill was born November 5, 1927 in Haynesville, La. He retired as a mechanical engineer from Lone Star Steel. He was an Elder at Ore City Church of Christ since 1987. Bill served his country while in the U.S. Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 60 years Eloise Patterson, daughter Sandra Patterson and son Steve Patterson. Bill is survived by his nephew Dennis Patterson, sisters-in-law: Virginia Bates and husband Tommy, Jeanette Smith and husband Milton, Sunshine Spielvogle and husband Ken, Rose Mary Martin and husband Terry, brothers-in-law: William Palmer and wife Carolyn, Bob Palmer and wife Louise and numerous nieces and nephews.
