Cremation arrangements for Betty Ann McCurry, age 80, of Harleton, are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home of Diana. Betty passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 in a Longview care center. The family will hold a celebration of life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Concord Cemetery, friends and family are welcome to attend.
Betty was born on October 22, 1936 in Mineral Wells to the late Mr. Shirley L. Rust and Elvie G. Maynard Rust. She worked as a waitress at Johnny Cace’s Seafood and Steakhouse in Longview for thirty-eight years, she was also a member of Simmons Hill Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Darla McCurry of Harleton, grandchildren, Whitney Jones, Logan Jones, Brandi Williams all of Harleton; sons, Russell H. McCurry of Harleton, Jeff L. McCurry and wife Debbie of Dickinson, Keith McCurry and wife Shannon of Scottsville; brother, Jerry Rust and wife Marty of Wichita, KS.; sister, Rusty “Bertie” Terry and husband Leroy of Plano; twelve grandchildren, Jeffrey McCurry, Corey McCurry, Ryan McCurry, Russell Lee McCurry, Adam McCurry, Bryan McCurry, Katie McCurry, Konner McCurry; numerous great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Russell McCurry in 2009; grandson, Camron A. Hernandez; and brother, Shirley Rust, Jr.
