Alta Helms

Services for Alta Helms, 96 of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Graceton Church of Christ, in Diana, with Jason Reeves and Paul Witt officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Mattox Cemetery. She passed away May 7, 2011 in Longview. Alta was born July 30, 1914 in Gilmer, Texas to Will and Magie Willeford. She was a retired inspector with Longview Manufacturing Company and a member of the Graceton Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Sharon & Gerald Cox; grandchildren, Mark Helms, Glen Cox, Pam Hendricks and Stacey Randall; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Gene Helms and grandson Curt Helms. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2011, 6-8 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
